Farmers & Legislators Forum

On Jan 29, the Good Food Buffalo Coalition hosted a Farmers & Legislators Forum for farmers to learn about opportunities to connect with institutional markets, including community support, grants, and training opportunities to support their farm businesses. New York State legislators and their staff also had the opportunity to learn about local and state policies that communities are advocating for to support farmers in connecting with institutional markets.

One NY State farmer who participated in the forum commented: "What good stuff! Lots of connections and opportunities. Definite passion, coordinated efforts, really informative recap of actual farm success stories. The help is there... the message I got is keep pushing!"
