Did you know you can bring compostable food scraps to the Farmhouse for recycling? We partner with the City of Buffalo Buffalo Recycles for their awesome community composting program. You can bring us your food scraps and they will recycle them!
Stop by the Farmhouse *anytime* with your household compostable items. You can include:
- veggie & fruit bits (including stems, peels, cores, and other unused pieces)
- coffee grounds
- tea bags
- nuts
- egg shells
Drop your collection of scraps in the BIG ORANGE or the NEW BABY BLUE BIN out front of the MAP Farmhouse and it will be recycled it into compost. It's that simple.
Remember to check those avocado skins & clementine peels for stickers! The following items *should not* go in the bin:
- paper bags or egg cartons
- meat or fish
- greasy food
- dairy
- animal waste
- coconuts
- compostable plastics
- yard debris or houseplants
No bucket? No problem. We have buckets available for free during market hours, while supplies last.
Green compost bags are okay to drop in the bin.
