MAP is celebrating Women’s History Month! This March we are sharing staff picks of influential women throughout history. Today’s pick is from MAP’s Mobile Market Coordinator, Danielle! We will be sharing more #Herstory throughout the month so stay tuned for more! Today’s feature is Women in Food.

Missy Singer DuMars
Women in Food is a 15 part media series featuring women in food around Western New York. The series was started by Crown Hill Farmer and Entrepreneur Missy Singer DuMars. 

DuMars said she had a vision to highlight women chefs and farmers in WNY. Her project was set to debut in Spring 2020 and then adapted to zoom for COVID. Each zoom features a woman gardener or chef in Western New York

DuMars owns Crown Hill Farms in Eden, NY. She seeks to empower wellness and simplicity. The vision of her farm is, " 
to create a sanctuary for community, food, animals and a business that are all mindfully grown". 

She feels passionate about building community and empowering women in food around her.
