New Year Same Youth!

The year 2020 has been one for the history books. A year that decades from many will look back on with heavy hearts but amongst all the sorrow came innovation, and resilience with new ways to work, learn, and gather. There's much to learn from this new way of life and even more to learn about peoples reactions to it.
This is where the foundation for our school year programming begins, by asking the question: How has the pandemic helped sparked seeds of rebellion and in what ways can we learn and heal from it? We will take a deep look into the Black Lives Matter Movement, and pausing to address the capitol insurgence and what that means for our change in presidency. We’ll be taking the time to address current events in order to give us a more holistic perspective on food apartheid, the intentional social and racial inequities that are determinants of food security.
