Meet the 2020 Mobile Market Crew! 

They are busy restocking our farm stands, ready to ring up your order, happy to offer advice, and excited to learn more about your favorite recipes. Markets Director Danielle is their leader. These are the folks who drive out to farms to gather up the freshest produce for our markets each week. This is the team that packages up all the goodies. These are the smiling faces (behind masks) at our markets!

Meet Dan!
Dan is one of three Mobile Market Coordinators with MAP for the 2020 season. Dan was raised in Buffalo and has enjoyed riding his bicycle all over the city. He has been told if he were a dog, he would be a golden retriever. He is enthusiastic about sustainable living and strengthening our local community.

 
Meet Johanna!
Johanna is from Hamburg. She is going into her senior year at Colgate University where she is double-majoring in environmental studies and political science. Johanna loves baking, music, crafts and hiking! Johanna joins us as a Mobile Market Intern for the 2020 season. 

Meet Heidi!
Heidi is a current UB Dietetic Intern. She has a passion for community nutrition and advocating for others. Heidi grew up in Ligonier, PA and worked in Pittsburgh, PA for a few years doing SNAP education before applying to the coordinated MS/ DI program at UB. Heidi joins us as part of her Dietetic Internship program for part of the summer. 

Meet Karine!

Karine loves food, travel, and meeting people from all over. She is a jack of all trades and master of maybe two. Interested in learning more about goats, bees, and farming. Karine joins us at one of three Mobile Market Coordinators for the 2020 season. 




Meet Sarah!
Sarah is a Buffalo native and a rising junior at Cornell University studying Nutrition and minoring in Global Health. She's passionate about issues surrounding food access, sustainability, and food systems, and their impact on nutrition. At school, Sarah is involved in Food Recovery Network and nutrition research with older adults. Her favorite things to do in her free time are cooking/eating, hiking, and running! Sarah joins us as a Mobile Market Intern for the season.

Meet Taylor!
Taylor is an Americorps VISTA member and one of three Mobile Market Coordinators. Taylor has been helping MAP launch a new mobile market program since last August. This program, in collaboration with the University at Buffalo and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, seeks to answer the following question: Does mere access to healthy fruits and vegetables lead to healthier human lifestyles?
